Sorry, didn’t see your reply saying this before I asked about your review.
It’s cool. I got the seat sorted and it fits. Needed to move the rear pin. Have only had a short ride so far so can’t comment much on comfort but so far so good. I’ll follow up after I have had time to get used to it.

Today I put the extreme flow filter on the bike.

So it’s been 3 days commuting 282 miles total this week so far. The seat is growing on me. Seemed slippery at 1st but not so much now. It doesn’t spread my butt like the OEM seat did. No complaints. In fact I’m starting to not notice it which says a lot.

this weekend I’m going motorcycle camping here

will try to ride the ATV trails up in there. Afterwards I’ll have some idea how the seat feels off-road and after hundreds of miles per day.

Low Budget Upgrades. . . Getting the bike sorted for an upcoming coastal weekend ride down south to a buddy's retirement.

1. Tractor Tube Fuel Storage. Holds a quart a fuel, for those "Should have stopped at that last gas station..." moments.

Simple pipe/conduit clamps for attachment points - - had this laying around from other motorcycle applications.

2. EDC (Every Day Carry) Storage. Saw a few small storage boxes for the left side of the bike that attach to the seat bracketry, but surprised at the cost (! ! !). Figured there might be some other options, so scrounged all my unused camping/hiking/military gear and sourced this little gem. . .

Not much more room than a decent sized tank bag, but it will hold chain lube, tool kit, and extra maintenance items.

Cost: $0.00.

Good stuff Paul! I love this kind of stuff. Can’t currently afford side luggage at the moment and this gives some really helpful ideas.(y)

where’d you find that left side bag?

Sorry SSP, can't recall where I obtained it. Pretty sure its a brand called Vertx, that makes bags, pouches, and accessories for military and law enforcement. Looked over the bag and no SKU or other markings.

The bag is 12" long x 7" high x 3" deep, and attaches via the MOLLE system. My guess is you can find something very similar on the interwebs. . .

I've noticed on my last own service that my bike was running on the rich side by checking my spark plugs, now this mod is perfect.
The old school engine health check. Plugs reveal lots of important things. Nice to see people still performing diagnostics without fancy computerized gizmos. Remind me of my old truck from the 60s. After adjusting the points you pulled plugs to see how well adjusted the points were.

Yep.
Btw I was a tech graduated class of '93 at MMI, AZ, with over 20 years of experience until I switch careers.
Even MMI changed the curriculum, the theory class was completed eliminated, all done on pc's these days, what a shame.
That's why you can find so many techs that have no clue of what's going on when troubleshooting.
